This has been such a weird year for all of us, almost no matter who or where we are talking about. 2020 has been a real head-scratcher as well as a downer for so many people.
But instead of just sinking down into the worst depression, let’s try to focus on the positive, and look at some things that are continuing to trend strongly, either despite of or because of the events of 2020.
Just as every cloud has a silver lining, so does this year, and that goes especially for circumstances such as these. You can look at big lists like this one here, but these are always potentially changing so fast they don’t usually stay relevant for very long. Having said that, there will always be solid opportunities in the immediate future, and here are potentially a few of them on which you can meditate.
Gaming
The Best Life has just done an article about gaming, so we will sum up here pretty quickly. Gaming is taking over the world! Between the nostalgic classics from The Old School Game Vault that built our childhoods and the cutting-edge graphics of contemporary games, the gaming sector has deep roots among young and old alike. It has even tunneled into industries like the traditional movie industry. This is no surprise, as in many ways it’s a superior experience.
Drones
Drones are going to be the wave of the future for so so many practical applications, as well as just for the sheer fun of them!
From the el cheapo starter drones for under $100 to this impressive mavic 2 enterprise dual piece of elegance, drones are being used for things from vlogging to security (private and public) to recording music videos, package delivery and so many more incredible things.
This, like the gaming industry, almost cannot help but grow for a long time to come.
E-Commerce
E-commerce has been around for more than two decades now, but in the past few years it has really hit its stride in a big way.
The real good news is that you don’t have to be an Amazon or an AliBaba to capitalize on everything e-commerce has to offer these days. New technologies, for example EMV 3DS, are evening out the playing field nicely and favoring the newcomer. Also in general, advances in technology have made things quicker, more reliable and more safe and secure than ever before.
We see e-commerce as getting a massive push in 2020 (there’s your silver lining for you!), and continuing to grow exponentially in the near future.
These may be hard times, but they are also exciting, and the innovation going on these days, we believe, will help push things forward. And there’s a good chance that we will come out of this even better than before!
